This year the annual trip organised by the group fellowship saw 50 people enjoy a visit to the Mickleover Court Hotel in Derby.
Departing on the Friday morning there was a leisurely journey to the hotel which included stopping for morning coffee at the High Legh Garden Centre in Knutsford followed by lunch at Trentham Shopping Village near Stoke on Trent.
Saturday was free to explore Derby with an optional afternoon visit to the National Brewery Centre which of course entailed the tasting of a sample or two.
Nottingham was the destination on Sunday when most took opportunity to enjoy lunch whilst taking a river cruise on the River Trent.
The trip back to the Furness peninsula on the Monday afforded more shopping opportunities with a visit to Bakewell market and afternoon tea being taken at Boundary Mills, Colne.
Once again the weekend proved a great success.
Dinner at the hotel being enjoyed.
